Trafalgar

On this night

The twenty first

Of October every year

We raise a glass on high

Toasting a victory at sea

In the year eighteen-o-five

Two hundred and sixteen years ago

At Trafalgar two fleets did meet

Those implacable foe

Who the RN did defeat

The French and Spanish fleet

A thousand men on Victory fought

To secure the seas for a hundred years

Nelsons men –

Masters of the seas

So raise your glass

And give three cheers

Give it your full throat

Rouse all of your compassion

To the men with

Hearts of Oak

The World Will Go On

The world will go on long after I am gone

The sun will shine the moon will rise

There should be no sad tearful eyes

It is the way things should be

It is the way I want them to be

No grief or sad sorrowful moods

Just say “that’s it” and on life moves

There is the one and only thing

That I would ask of those who remain

Enjoy your life, have love and fun

Because soon enough all lives are run

So thank you and I love you all,

Now of you go

Move on Move on

Chasing Dragons

I’m chasing the dragon

Where will it end

I’ve sacrificed my soul

I’ve stolen from those

My family and friends

For my fix to get high

To just feel alive

The dragon is in me

I’m sure I can fly

They’ve sent me to prison

I’ve suffered and cried

I have to keep on going

Get clean to survive

Or return to the dragon

The result will be to die

Loneliness

The word describes the feeling

Loneliness is feeling alone

It doesn’t mean being isolated

Or being on your own

It is the sad reality

That everyone should know

That though it isn’t spoken aloud

Loneliness is not too far away

You can be lonely when in a crowd
